MÉRIDA, YUCATAN — Yucatán’s Secretary of Health, Miguel Alberto Alcocer Gamboa, announced a significant 87.8% reduction in dengue cases compared to the same period last year. Notably, the state has recorded zero deaths from the disease during this timeframe.



Officials attribute the dramatic decline to comprehensive vector control strategies and technological innovation across 75 municipalities, covering more than 42,000 hectares.
