In Mérida, Yucatán, on Sunday, June 14, 2026, the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) reported that during the afternoon, they responded to a fire in two dilapidated vehicles located on an abandoned lot at the intersection of 43rd and 40th Streets in the Mulchechén neighborhood of Kanasín.
Officers from the Kanasín Coordinated Police and SSP firefighters arrived at the scene and carried out the necessary operations to control and extinguish the fire.
