The Turkic world is not quite as united as Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s talk of eternal brotherhood would suggest.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan used the occasion of the opening of the 13th summit of the Organisation of Turkic States (OTS) in Ankara on October 30 to tell the various assembled leaders that there was “no room for separation, division or discord” in the Turkic world. It was a rather strange line given that there was a high profile absentee from the summit, namely Ilham Aliyev
